We are a private Christian Micro-School Academy serving grades K-6 in Gloucester, Virginia designed to cultivate strong minds, strong character, and strong faith — all at the same time.

At Harvest Salt & Light Academy we believe education should be rooted in truth, shaped by purpose,

and centered on the child God created each student to be.

Our heart is to provide a learning environment where children are valued and encouraged to grow

academically, spiritually, and personally.

We keep class sizes small, so children are seen — With small class sizes and a relationship centered

approach, we can meet students where they are, helping them learn at their own pace rather than

expecting them to fit into a system. We believe every child is uniquely designed by God with gifts,

strengths, and a purpose worth cultivating.

We focus on mastery, so students build confidence instead of carrying gaps.

We integrate faith in a way that helps children understand what they believe and why.

We teach life skills in everyday moments — how to speak respectfully, take responsibility, solve

problems, care for their environment, and serve others.

We believe a strong education begins with a strong foundation. Academic excellence is a central part of our mission, and we are committed to equipping students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to thrive both in the classroom and beyond.

We also incorporate agriculture and stewardship because children flourish when they can work with

their hands. When a child plants something, tends to it, and watches it grow, they learn patience,

discipline, and responsibility in a way no worksheet can teach.

From meaningful teachable moments to a deeper understanding of God’s world, we desire to help

children grow not only in knowledge but in wisdom, faith, and character.
